Application Instructions

• Apply at least 15 days before travel; 4 weeks recommended.
• You may apply up to 6 months in advance (9 months for seafarers).
• Do not buy travel tickets until visa approval.
• Application must be registered online before submission.
• Biometric data is required unless collected in past 59 months.
• Group applications are recommended for tourists.
• Travel agencies may assist, but need written consent from applicant.
• If applying from India, you must reside in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, or Maldives.
• Visa to Svalbard requires two or more entries.

• Original passport + previous passports (valid 3+ months beyond return)
• Passport-size photo (35-40mm, white background, < 6 months old)
• Signed application form from UDI portal
• Travel medical insurance (EUR 30,000 coverage)
• Flight bookings (roundtrip itinerary)
• Accommodation confirmation
• Travel plan / cruise or tour confirmation
• Employment/school letters, leave permission
• Bank statement for last 3 months
• Copies of passport biodata and used pages
• Letter of attorney (if applicable)
• For minors: consent letters, custody documents
